UC Riverside Is for Veterans
Take your place at one of the most highly ranked and respected universities in the world. UCR's diverse campus will welcome you. Our community of over 300 veteran and military-affiliated students will support you. And our veteran-focused resources will assist you — from application through graduation.
No wonder UCR was the only university on the West Coast to make the tier 1, top 10 list by VIQTORY (publisher of G.I. Jobs Magazine). The ranking also qualified UCR for a 2021–2022 Military Friendly Schools designation.
Welcome home to UCR!
Getting a UC degree is within your reach! Course and GPA requirements for UCR and many of its majors are a lot more attainable than you may realize. With over 80 desirable majors, distinguished faculty, groundbreaking research, and successful graduates, UCR is America’s fastest-rising ranked university. (U.S. News & World Report, 2019)
Thanks to available benefits, scholarships, and grants, most student veterans pay little or nothing out of pocket to attend UCR. Our Financial Aid Veterans Services Coordinator will help you work with the VA to get all the education benefits for which you’re eligible. No wonder UCR is ranked as one of the best colleges for your money. (Money Magazine, 2020)
We understand that transitioning from military to university life can be challenging. Fortunately, UCR’s Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is a welcoming place for student veterans to gather, study, and just hang out. Grab a free cup of coffee or snack from the fridge. Take advantage of the study lab and free printer services. Find peer support, connect to resources, and more!
UCR is committed to helping each student thrive and fully participate in all aspects of campus life. Resources like Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) are here to help you reduce barriers that can interfere with your academic success and enjoyment of campus life.
